Dana brings over 20 years of experience and broad expertise as a senior project manager and environmental scientist/planner and as a senior technical consultant (STC) in environmental permitting to support energy and water resource project development throughout the Western US. She leads permitting and environmental compliance documents under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and Washington State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA). Regularly, she contributes to environmental issue analyses and facilitates engaged and focused agency coordination at the local, state, and federal level. For the last 18 years of her career she’s worked to site, permit, and license linear energy and water infrastructure projects focusing on transmission and distribution development, with an emphasis on regulatory engagement. She develops permitting strategies that meaningfully inform design to minimize environmental impacts, permitting time and cost, as well and long-term mitigation obligations. Dana brings experience in a broad range of utility crossing permitting (transmission, rail, canal), including BPA Land Use Agreements. Well-versed in harmonizing Tribal and agency coordination efforts and engaging stakeholders, Dana excels in successfully coordinating challenging, multi-faceted permitting projects with carefully sequenced schedules to and through construction.
