Fellow
Great Plains Institute
Josh Rogers is a Transmission Fellow at the Great Plains Institute; a nationally recognized non-profit organization that provides facilitation and technical support to state and local governments along with other energy industry stakeholders throughout the United States. After publishing award winning research on transmission development in the Mountain West and Southwest at Princeton University, he was invited to continue this work in the Plains and Midwest at GPI. In this role, he lives in a different area each month, following transmission routes and interviewing stakeholders to understand the roots of opposition to transmission projects and how developers and governments can effectively mitigate these challenges. He has interviewed stakeholders involved in numerous transmission projects across 13 states making his research one of the most comprehensive analyses of local perceptions to high-voltage transmission development.
